18th  Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (PBD) Convention will be held from 08th  -10th   January, 2025.

The main theme of the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (PBD) Convention 2025 is: "Diaspora's Contribution to a Viksit Bharat" / "विकसित भारत की संकल्पना में प्रवासी भारतीयों का योगदान".

The 18th  Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention will include five Plenary Sessions on the following themes :-

  • Plenary Session I:Beyond Borders: Diaspora Youth Leadership in a Globalized World
  • Plenary Session II:Building Bridges, Breaking Barriers: Stories of Migrant Skills
  • Plenary Session III:Green Connections: Diaspora’s Contributions to Sustainable Development
  • Plenary Session IV:Diaspora Divas: Celebrating Women's Leadership and Influence – Nari Shakti
  • Plenary Session V:Diaspora Dialogues: Stories of Culture, Connection, and Belongingness

30 eminent diaspora members will be honored with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards during the 18th  PBD Convention.

It is advisable that the delegates attend all the events relating to PBD 2025 Convention on 9 and 10 January 2025. Delegates are also welcome to attend Youth PBD programme on 8 January 2025.

All PBD delegates/participants are required to pay the registration fee (except Government officials and Government of India's representatives/special invitees). In addition to individual registrations, Group registration facility can also be availed by PBD delegates, who wish to participate as members of an Indian Association, Community organization or Professional organization. The registration fee will include meals (lunch and dinner at the Convention venue) during the event period. Delegates can pick up their PBD I Cards from the special counters set up at the PBD Convention venue from 8 January 2025. Step by step Registration procedure is as follows:

Step 1: Delegates need to register/make their profile with basic details. It has a two factor authentication system where OTP will be sent to the delegates registered email ID for creation of the PBD Profile.

Step 2: After Profile creation delegates are requested to log in to their profile (autogenerated password was sent on registered Email ID). A dashboard with view application would appear. Delegates are requested to go to the said page and click on new applications. (Registered applications can be viewed here as well)

Step 3: Delegates can register as a group or as Individuals. They can also register as self or for others as well. For group registrations there is a group bracket of 05-50 members with minimum 05 members For group registration it is mandatory that the group coordinator uploads the details of all the members of the group attending the PBD convention (by using the add members tab).

Step 4: After registering as a Group or Individual with all the relevant details, the delegates are requested to proceed towards payment section immediately or can log back in at a later date. In the payments section delegates are requested to select the days they will be attending the PBD Convention. Kindly note once payment is made from a profile, the dates cannot be modified and there is no refund of the payment made in case of cancellation.

Individual Registration

Group Registration
Members of an Indian Community Organization can register as a group and benefit from the special rates applicable for such group registrations. The rates of discount applicable along with the numbers of registrations in the group are indicated Group Discount
5 to 50 25%

NO REFUND TO BE PROVIDED IN CASE OF CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION

While registering online using the registration form, fees may be paid online itself. In case the payment doesn’t process/fails, an option to complete the payment later is available using Login credentials sent on registered Email ID.

There is an Early Bird Discount for 20% valid till 27 November 2024.

NO REFUND TO BE PROVIDED IN CASE OF CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION

No refund will be provided in case of cancellation of registration.

If the delegate is a Non-resident Indian national (holder of Indian passport), they don't require a visa to travel India. If the delegate is a person of Indian Origin, their valid PIO or OCI card can provide visa free entry to India. If they do not have a PIO or OCI card, then they may apply at the nearest Indian Embassy or consulate for a visa. Foreign passport holders are advised to apply well in advance for Visa. Delegates may please apply for "Conference Visa" to attend PBD 2025 Convention. Confirmed registration for the PBD Convention will be required at the time of submission of visa application forms at the Indian Embassy/High Commission/Consulate. If the delegate is a special Invitee of the Government of India, they may please present the invitation letter from the Ministry of External Affairs, along with the visa application to the Indian Embassy/Consulate to obtain gratis Visa. All registered participants/delegates will be provided a badge/access card which they would be required to wear at all the time. They can collect their badge/access card from the dedicated counters at PBD Convention venue in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Entry to the PBD Convention will only be given to the person who has registered. A photo ID and verification proof need to be shown to obtain the delegate badge for entering the PBD convention. The delegate cannot transfer his badge to any other person.

PBD delegates based outside India are advised to bring medical and travel insurance for the period of their stay in India.
